If you've been following this blog for a while you may have noticed a pattern of color (or lack there of) in my wardrobe; That is to say, I don't wear a lot of color. It's not that I don't like wearing color per say, I just feel as though neutrals tend to go better with everything and this means I don't have to do a lot of "in my mind" matching when I go shopping for pieces to go in my closet. Nowadays my eyes are drawn to neutral pieces, I guess you could say it's become a bit of a habit, which is why I've decided to make this post about my current favorite Black and White pieces in my wardrobe.

The white piece is this High-Split Tee from ASOS. I don't know what it is about high split tops but I seem to be collecting them all. I've got about 5 in my closet as of right now but this one is my favorite. It's an extremely soft fabric and the slit goes pretty far down so it can look pretty formal depending on what you pair it with, even though it's essentially a plain top. I love adding special touches like knotting the tops or throwing some statement jewelry on top.

Choosing my favorite black item of clothing was possibly the hardest decision I've ever had to make when it comes to my closet. I managed to narrow it down to 3 items: Black booties, Black leather jacket, Black jeans. AKA: the Staples. Honestly, you can't go wrong with having either of these pieces (or all of them) in your closet. I reach for these so often when picking out an outfit for the day. Being a lover of black clothing I have multiples of these pieces from different brands, but these are the ones I've been reaching for the most lately: Boots - Mossimo, Jeans - ASOS, Jacket - H&M.
